If you have the habit of taking quick notes on your iPhone and iPad, but after a while you properly don't remember which iDevice you have saved a specific note. A simple solution to this is using PlainText app, it enable you to sync with Dropbox.com, so what you type on iPhone can be viewed and edited on iPad and vice versa.
PlainText work similar like Apple default Notes, but PlainText allows you to create and organise your documents in folders. On top of that you can also view and edit the documents from PC and Mac via Dropbox. Dropbox offer free 2GB seamless files sharing services between your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, PC and Mac.
How does it work?
Step 1- Setup a free Dropbox account
Create a free Dropbox account at dropbox.com to enjoy free 2GB online storage.
Step 2 - Install PlainText app
Install PlainText on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
Step 3 - Sync PlainText to Dropbox
Launch PlainText app > Settings > Dropbox > Link to Dropbox Account > enter Dropbox account ID and password. Done!
Note: On your PC and Mac, you can also create new notes in PlainText folder that located inside Dropbox folder and access it from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. By default, Dropbox sync to folder PlainText. You can change this(before you link to your account) by tap the text field after Link Folder in Settings to customise. If you have problem with the synced files, you can always recover previous versions of your documents by visiting Dropbox.com.
