NTI introduces redundancy Switch for VGA

Network Technologies Inc (NTI) announces the addition of redundancy switch PRIMUX ® as an optional support for their popular VGA KVM matrix Switches via CAT5. Switch redundancy can instantly switch all user stations and connections from the host adapter to switch an array of back-up if the primary drive fails.

The redundancy switch PRIMUX RDSW-restores all of the connections between users and servers if the primary VGA KVM Matrix Switch PRIMUX needs to be taken out of service. The position of a switch in the drive determines that switch Matrix is used. With dual redundant AC power, the unit, without interruption, it automatically switches to the second source of energy if it fails the first energy source. These guarantees are ideal for broadcast applications where downtime is measured in seconds.

The unit comes with female RJ45 input and output connectors. Up to 1,000 feet of CATx cable can separate Host Adapters user stations, including the biggest cable length between the switch and any redundancy of switches for flexible installations of Matrix. The RDSW-PRIMUX supports the 8-32 X and PRIMUX PRIMUX-16 X 64 KVM VGA matrix Switches via CAT5 and all connected PRIMUX-UZR user stations and servers (connected using host adapters).

The VGA KVM Matrix Switch PRIMUX via CAT5 provides non-blocking access for up to 16 simultaneous users for up to 64 servers. The switch frees valuable space by eliminating large and bulky KVM switchboxes Co-axial cables hard to manage. Servers are discovered as they are linked and can be immediately accessed by authorized users. Platform-specific host adapters support a variety of host connections, including PS/2, USB, Sun and Serial. With video resolutions of 1920 x 1440, the unit automatically adjusts video quality to compensate for different lengths of CATx cable. VGA KVM Matrix Switch is an excellent solution for high-density server environments and redundancy switch decreases downtime.
