Communications systems division of the Corporation of 30 July 2013-Ultralife this week presented its new VIPER adapter (vehicle installed power Enhanced Rifleman) to radio AN/PRC-154 Rifleman.
The VIPER brings the widely deployed AN/PRC-154 on the vehicle to use mounted. The VIPER is part-20 watt amplifier 320 popular Ultralife technology for use in military vehicles. The VIPER effectively increases the range of the Rifleman radio and ensures the battle field connectivity, increasing the margin of radio network link.
Ultralife co-developed the VIPER with Thales, Inc., and the VIPER fully supports the radio waveform (SRW) soldier. The characteristics of the VIPER USB standard Ethernet connectivity and integrated and a small form factor: 3.5 cm wide x 5 cm high x 11 cm in length. The VIPER also meets the MIL-STD 810 environmental standards MIL-STD 461 EMI.
