At first glance the iRiver player is as cute as they come, however after serious inspection it is possible that some may not know intuitively that this is Mickey Mouse’s head. There are no facial graphics on the player and turned right it could look like gumballs
or a water molecule. This is a problem that iRiver was quick to work on, new generation models now come with small LED lights that simulate eyes with different expressions depending on the function you are performing. More recently, a Korean based company developed a dock for the iRiver player that is in the form of Mickey’s body
, if the player was not already strange enough! With no graphic displays of any kind, there are a couple of features
that you simply do not have. There is no way to know when the battery is about to die, even though independent testing has given the battery about ten hours it would be nice to be able to see when it is going down.
