tde - trans data elektronik expands the successful tML System with a new module rack mount enclosure

Trans data elektronik, a leading manufacturer and system provider of network technology and a pioneer in the field of fiber optic multi-fiber technology presents an extendible 19 inch tML module rack mount enclosure, which is downward compatible with all so far available tML modules. The tML module rack mount is appealing to users who attach high value to premium manufacture and tool-less handling.

“With regard to quality, compatibility and usability the new tML module rack mount enclosure absolutely meets the high tde standards. Thanks to the fact that it is extendible, the 19 inch module rack mount enclosure in one rack unit is very easy to use and furthermore guarantees a higher packing density than the products of our competitors” says André Engel, CEO of tde - trans data elektronik GmbH in Dortmund.

Highest usability meets high packing density

The latest version of the one rack unit module rack mount enclosure is very easy to handle. Installers can extend the module rack mount enclosures without using any tools and have easy access to modules and connections. “Installing and adding trunk cables works faster”, says André Engel. Thanks to no new concept, modules can be exchanged during day-to-day operations.

Meeting tde´s standard of highest packing densities, this model is designed for six modules instead of eight like the fixed tML module rack mount enclosures. In combination with tML® HD modules, the module rack mount enclosure fits with 144 fibers for 72 LC Duplex ports or with standard fiber optic or TP modules for 36 ports. Combined with 40/100 GbE, 36 MPO/MTP ports up to 432 or up to 864 fibers can be integrated.

Compatible and investment-safe

The new module rack mount enclosure is compatible with all available tML modules. “It is a safe investment for all users, because there are tML modules for all connector types on the market, like E2000, SCD, ST, MU, MTRJ, LC D, EC7, RJ45 and many others”, André Engel says. Furthermore optic fibers and TP modules can be used in mixed arrangements. This offers companies a high degree of flexibility tailored to individual needs and requirements. That is the reason why there are various cable entries for optical fiber dividers and breakout cables.

Access to modules without any tools

The new tML module rack mount enclosure is designed for extremely easy handling. Without using any tools the modules click into place and the drawers are locked. “Drawers are locked with captive wheel screws. That`s time-saving and the modules are perfectly protected“, André Engel says. The aluminum enclosure offers an elegant appearance and ensures low weight. In addition the coverage protects the modules from unwanted access and dust.

The tML®–tde Modular Link system

tML® is a patented modular cabling system, which consists of the three main components module, trunk cable and module unit. These system components are manufactured, patched and tested to a 100 percent in Germany and implement a local Plug & Play-Installation – particularly in data centers, but also in industrial surroundings – in the shortest possible time. The core of the system comprises the dorsal MPO/MTP® and Telco connectors, which connect at least six ports with 10GbE or rather GbE performance at once. There are fiber optics and TP modules, which can be used simultaneously in a module unit with very high port density.
